About the Church…
The church was originally founded in 1890; since this time we have moved into smaller premises and we celebrated our centenary in 1993.
The church is part of the Bristol & South Gloucestershire Circuit in the Bristol District of the Methodist Church and also an active member of Bishopston Inter-church Group (BIG).
The congregation is made up of lots of different people and ages who are all friendly and will make you feel welcome. The Methodist community in Bishopston will be pleased to welcome you at any of their activities, details of which are elsewhere on this website.
We can be found at 245 Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol, BS7 8NY which is on Bristol bus routes 71, 72, 73, 75, 76, 78 and 79.
About our Minister…
Our minister, Patrick Stonehewer, moved into the area in 2015 to take up his post at Bishopston, alongside responsibility for sister Methodist churches in Horfield and Shirehampton. He moved from Reading with his family and from employment in the John Lewis Partnership where he most recently worked in the food supply chain.
He lives locally in Bishopston and enjoys the variety of the local community and seeing how the church serves God amongst those who live and work in and around the area, one of the most varied that the city has to offer.
